This worked great for 6 months, but has unfortunately failed already. There's no visible damage, so not sure what happened there. I used it to connect an external monitor to my laptop. It was exactly what I needed because it could also power the monitor that I only needed one cable. I'll be looking into replacing it with a different brand that will hopefully hold up for longer. Twenty dollars for a cable isn't exactly inexpensive.
