Bottom line: I have no connection to the company that makes these and I was a skeptic when I first saw them, but this item worked better than advertised and has basically become essential to more uses than I thought when I purchased it. We are a small non-profit with no paid employees, so we have to watch our pennies and get the best value. This did not disappoint!It is portable, versatile, and very easy to use. It takes great quality images of both pictures and documents to the point that my rather expensive flatbed scanner is likely going out the door.The only shortfall for this item is that it DOES NOT do OCR for documents. That can be covered if you have good OCR software. OR.. you can do like I did and ALSO purchase a CZUR Aura Pro book scanner. I also bought the black mat and the "Portapack" travel case I easily store both in. While not essential, the black mat really takes the scanning to the next level by removing backgrounds and helping the camera auto focus and crop on the actual document or object.I use these for a lot of research both in my home office but especially on the road to libraries, Courts, etc. They both fit easily into the case. When working the Pro Book scanner (portable) make quick work of volumes and volumes of documents while the Fancy S Pro is ideal not only for the images, but when I do video calls with other researchers and others. I use the Fancy S pro as a webcam then focus it on the documents or objects we're talking about to collaborate in real time. This really cuts down the coordination time and makes the experience a lot more interactive. In addition to using the Fancy S Pro to look "down on documents it is great for pointing at presentations to capture the images, slides, video, etc.A "must have" for researchers, teachers, students and a myriad of other applications.Any regrets? yes, TWO: 1) I did not find this and buy it sooner; and 2) I didn't just "jump in with both feet" and buy the ET18Pro!
