I really didn't need the internal power connector, but other than that, this is a super card to have.You cannot boot from an external SSD. It functions only as a hub, despite the fact it uses a FrescoLogic FL1100-1Q0 HOST controller chip.Uses an incorrectly dimensioned 19pin socket (a problem shared by 2 other cards I've purchased recently, the ones with a blue 19pin housing and a white molex power, both arrived DOA, and the 19pin socket on one literally pulled apart removing the cable )Will not allow your computer to shutdown, but restarts instead. Remove card - works fine. I'm not running Windoze10 (the Fast Startup bug)I posted similar last night, but it disappeared somehow. Let's see what happens this time.Worked for what I wanted to use it for.Works well. No issues.This product does not work with Ubuntu or Linux Mint although the ad states it does. Did everything I could but does not work.Installation was easy enough. The instruction manual was clear on which slot powers the card but when I used that slot and installed the driver, it kept showing as "not installed". I ended up taking it off after three attempts to install it. It was frustrating as I have to connect and disconnect then reconnect several cables from my desktop to install then remove then reinstall the card. It was not worth the trouble in the end.It worked like it should have worked.NiceI have an MSI B460 Motherboard which is a low-end motherboard, the ports work but I'm not sure the motherboard supports what 3.0 is supposed to deliver.. haven't had to use it for anything spectacular yet but maybe as time goes I'll find out!This internal PCI-Express card works great. I had no problems adding it to the spare slot on my motherboard.The USB-C ports work great with the Logitech Streamcam I own.This review is coming late as I just plugged in the USB-C Webcam yesterday and wanted to make sure it worked.If you are planning on buying any USB-C connected devices for your computer and your motherboard doesn't have the port built in, this card is a great choice. It also helps that it comes with 3xUSB 3.0 (high speed USB-A) ports as well as the 2xUSB-C ports.Easy to install, works for all my USB peripherals except my Razer wolverine controller.
